Summary: Carpathians: a dying race that's been struggling to remain in existence. Few female children are born to them for centuries, and male Carpathians, without lifemates and without the 'light' to their darkness, either succumb to the call of death or lose themselves to the beast within them and turn into the creatures that they hunt and protect humans from: vampires.

A/N: This story is written in 3rd POV omniscient. I haven't written in omniscient for quite some time so I hope this works. Not beta'ed. It may be crossover but the entire story revolves around David Cook and David Archuleta for all books, despite the fact books 2 & 3 are centered on other fandoms.
