Title: The Silent Playground
Author & Artist:
clover71
Fandom(s): No. 6 (specifically anime)
Characters/Pairings: Nezumi/ Shion
Rating: R (due to a violent scene)
Warnings/Spoilers:Death of minor characters, inhumane experiments, child abuse, (slight) graphic violence
Word Count: 11K
Description: Created for
casestory 2012
Summary: Months after they had destroyed the main computer that controlled the correctional facility and, indirectly, the entire region of No. 6, Nezumi and Shion found themselves caught up in a web of a new conspiracy that involved missing children of the elite class and a machine built to regain control of the city.
Disclaimer: This is only fiction and written for non-profitable purpose. I do not own the characters used in this story. No. 6 and its characters are owned by the original creator, Atsuko Asano, its publisher Kodansha and the anime adaptation rights remain with Bones.
Author’s Notes:
- The facts and terminologies used here are mostly based on anime since I'm not done reading the novel and haven't read the manga yet. A little background on what transpired in the anime may be needed since some incidents were mentioned in this story and I didn't delve into details expecting that readers are familiar with the anime.
- The concept of the story – especially the one involving the children and the ending – was inspired by a novel called 'Shadows' by John Saul. A creepy story that stuck with me for years.

*I drew this banner myself using a screen cap from the anime and a photo from the manga as references*
